| Summary: | Now Peta Wilson is the star of USA Network's La Femme Nikita (a big hit the cable channel has just renewed for a second season), the subject of a feature in People magazine and a major Internet babe. USA's Web site features a gallery of 20 shots of the statuesque Australian blonde, under the heading ``Drop Dead Looks.'' A search of the Net finds several Peta shrines set up by fans. Nikita is adapted from the 1990 French film about a cop killer forced to join an elite government operation and perform clandestine duties such as assassinations. (A U.S. remake of the film, Point of No Return, starred Bridget Fonda.) In the TV version, which airs Mondays and Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Nikita has been wrongly accused of murder. |
