프로파일링 수사 지원에 대한 수사관 인식 구조: 촉진과 저해 요인에 대한 다중대응분석1

본 연구는 수사관의 프로파일링에 대한 인지 경험 만족 수준에 따라 활용 의향에 영향을 미치는촉진 및 저해 요인의 구조적 차이를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 수사관 287명의 설문 자료를 바 탕으로, 수사관의 태도 수준과 관련 요인 간의 대응 관계를 확인하고자 다중대응분석(MCA)을 실시하였 다. 분석 결과 경험 만족 활용 의향이 모두 긍정적인 집단은 ‘신뢰 관계 형성’과 밀접하게 대응된 반면, 부정적인 태도를 보인 집단은 ‘수사 방향 변경 우려’, ‘효과 불확실성’, ‘수사에 방해되지 않는 개입’ 등 저 해 요인과 연관되었다. 또한 활용 경험이 없거나 인지 수준이 낮은 수사관 집단은 ‘명확한 절차’를 촉진 요인으로 인식하는 경향을 보였다. 이처럼 수사관의 태도 수준에 따라 촉진 및 저해 요인이 구조적으로 구분되는 양상이 확인되었으며, 이는 프로파일러의 전문성뿐 아니라 수사관과의 신뢰 기반 협업 및 명확 한 지원 절차 마련이 프로파일링 기법의 실효성을 높이는 데 핵심적 요소임을 시사한다. This  study  examines  the  structural  relationship  between  investigators’  attitudes  toward  offender profiling  and  the  perceived  facilitators  and  barriers  to  its  use.  Based  on  survey  data  from  287  investigators, Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) was conducted to explore how awareness, experience, and satisfaction  relate  to  willingness  to  use  profiling.  Results  showed  that  investigators  with  positive  attitudes were  closely  associated  with  the  facilitator  of  trust  relationship,  while  those  with  negative  perceptions were  linked  to  concern  about  direction  change,  uncertain  effectiveness,  and  non-intrusive  intervention. Investigators  with  low  awareness  or  no  experience  viewed  clear  procedures  as  a  key  facilitator.  These findings  suggest  that  the  perceived  utility  of  profiling  varies  structurally  depending  on  investigators’  prior experiences and attitudes. Enhancing collaboration and establishing clear procedures may strengthen the practical contribution of profiling in investigations. KCI Citation Count: 0
