A Design and Implementation of Bus Operation Information Application Based on Android Platform

본 논문에서는 버스 운행 정보를 제공하는 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반의 애플리케이션을 설계하고구현한다. 이 애플리케이션은 공공데이터포털에서 제공하는 Open API를 이용하여 인천광역시를 운행하는 버스의 운행 정보를 실시간으로 제공한다. 버스 운행 정보는 정류소 이름, 정류소에 정차하는 버스 목록, 버스 위치, 버스 도착 시간, 버스 탑승 인원 등을 포함한다. 이 애플리케이션의 사용자는 자신의 출•퇴근 시간을 설정하고, 해당 시간에 이용할 수 있는 정류소와 노선 버스 정보를 즐겨찾기에 등록함으로써 맞춤형 버스 운행 정보를 제공받을 수 있다. 또한, 맞춤형 버스 운행 정보를 앱의 메인화면에 출력함으로써 사용자가 직관적으로 확인할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그리고 이애플리케이션의 확정성은 공공데이터포털에서 제공하는 Open API를 각 지역에 맞게 수정한다면해당 지역의 버스 운행 정보를 실시간으로 제공하는 애플리케이션을 구현할 수 있다는 것이다. In this paper, we propose an Android-based application that provides bus operation information. This application utilizes the Open API provided by the Public Data Portal to deliver real-time bus operation information for buses running in Incheon Metropolitan City. The bus operation information includes bus station, the list of buses stopping at each bus station, bus locations, bus arrival time, and the number of passengers on board. Users of this application can set their commuting times and register frequently used bus stations and bus routes as favorites to receive personalized bus operation information. Additionally, the application displays customized bus operation information on the main screen, allowing users to check the information intuitively. Furthermore, the scalability of this application allows it to be adapted to other regions by modifying the Open API provided by the Public Data Portal accordingly, making it possible to implement a real-time bus operation information application for other cities and regions.
