The disclosure relates to a substance adiponectin and/or adiponectin receptor agonist (ARA) for use in the treatment of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB)-induced immune related adverse events (irAEs) in a subject, wherein the subject is preferably receiving checkpoint blockade therapy as a cancer therapy. As well as to a combination medication comprising adiponectin and/or adiponectin receptor agonist (ARA) and a photosensitizing agent for combined use in the treatment of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB)-induced immune related adverse events (irAEs) in a subject, wherein the treatment further comprises the extracorporeal irradiation of a blood sample of the subject with ultraviolet A (UVA), preferably extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP) therapy. Est divulguée une substance adiponectine et/ou un agoniste de récepteur de l'adiponectine (ARA) destiné(s) à servir dans le traitement d'événements indésirables d'origine immunologique (irAEs) induits par blocage de points de contrôle immunitaire (ICB) chez un individu, ce dernier recevant de préférence un traitement de blocage des points de contrôle comme traitement anticancéreux. Est également divulgué un médicament combiné comprenant de l'adiponectine et/ou un agoniste du récepteur de l'adiponectine (ARA) et un agent photosensibilisant pour une utilisation combinée dans le traitement d'événements indésirables d'origine immunologique (irAEs) induits par blocage de points de contrôle immunitaire (ICB) chez un individu, le traitement consistant également à réaliser une irradiation extracorporelle d'un échantillon sanguin de l'individu avec des ultraviolets A (UVA), de préférence un traitement par photophérèse extracorporelle (PEC).
