The subject of the present invention is a mechanism for splitting and dispensing a product in pieces, particularly in sprigs or the like such as aromatic herbs, preserved in a frozen state. Said mechanism comprises junction means at the opening of a container (1) and product breakdown means, which successively combine product cluster fragmentation means (5, 6, 29, 28) and product splitting means (7, 8) of the shearing cut type between at least one blade (7) provided on the moving part (4) and at least one counter blade (8) provided on the fixed part (2). The mechanism is equipped with reversible closure means to prevent an escape of the product outside the mechanism when it is not in use. La présente invention a pour objet un mécanisme pour diviser et délivrer un produit en morceaux, notamment un produit en brins ou analogue tel que des herbes aromatiques, conservé à l'état surgelé. Ce mécanisme comporte des moyens de jonction au débouché d'un récipient (1) et des moyens de parcellisation du produit, qui associent successivement des moyens de fragmentation (5, 6, 29, 28) d'un agglomérat de produit et des moyens de division (7, 8) du type par découpe en cisaillement du produit entre au moins une lame (7) ménagée sur la pièce mobile (4) et au moins une contre lame (8) ménagée sur la pièce fixe (2).
