PURPOSE:To ease the mirror surface processing accuracy of the abutting surface of a magnetic body plate and to obtain an equal gap length by curving and pressurizing the magnetic body plate when two magnetic body sheets to consti tute a magnetic head are pressurized, heated and bonded. CONSTITUTION:At a push plate 14 of push plates 14 and 15 to sandwich magnetic body plates 1 and 2, a pressurizing surface 14a is formed on four corners and other part comes to be a recessed part. A pressurizing surface 15a of other push plate 15 is formed in a sphere shape having a large radius of curvature. Between such push plates 14 and 15, the magnetic body plates 1 and 2 are sandwiched, pressurized and heated through spacers 16 and 17. As such a result, since the magnetic body plates are curved along the pressurizing surface 15a of the push plate 15 and restored in the A direction of an arrow by a resiliency which the magnetic body plates 1 and 2 themselves have, the abutting surface is equally protruded and a gap length (g) comes to be equal to the film thickness of a nonmagnetic film 7 over the whole of the magnetic body plates 1 and 2.
