Summary:To provide a reactor capable of simulating a blast furnace cohesive zone.SOLUTION: A reactor (1) includes a vessel (20), a plurality of push bars (22a-22d), and a heating furnace (13). The vessel (20) is filled with a filler containing ore and coke, and a bottom portion (20a) of the vessel (20) is provided with an opening (21) for taking in a gas having a predetermined composition and discharging a drop generated by melting of the ore. The plurality of push bars (22a-22d) are arranged in a predetermined direction along an upper surface of the filler in the vessel (20), and respectively apply a load from above to the filler in the vessel (20). The heating furnace (13) includes a plurality of heaters (13a-13d) for heating the plurality of regions (A1-A4) that receive the load from the plurality of push bars (22a-22d) in the filler in the vessel (20).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
