| Summary: | To provide a wavelength variable laser device and a control method of the wavelength variable laser device, in which a stability of a frequency of a laser beam output when continuously changing the frequency in a wide band is high.SOLUTION: In a wavelength variable laser device continuously sweeping a frequency of a laser beam output to an external part, a control part continuously sweeps the frequency of the laser beam while outputting the laser beam to the external part while oscillating a first wavelength variable laser element, sets the number of laser oscillation frequency of a second wavelength variable laser element to a first frequency during the sweeping to oscillate the laser, and an output of the laser beam to the external part is disconnected in order to be a stand-by state. In the case where it is determined that the frequency of the laser beam of the first wavelength variable laser element is appropriately matched to the first frequency, the output to the external part of the laser beam of the first wavelength variable laser element is disconnected, and the stand-by state of the second wavelength variable laser element is cancelled to output the laser beam of the second wavelength variable laser element to the external part as at least one step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】広帯域で連続的に周波数を変化させる際に、出力されるレーザ光の周波数の安定性が高い波長可変レーザ装置および波長可変レーザ装置の制御方法を提供すること。【解決手段】外部に出力するレーザ光の周波数を連続的に掃引する波長可変レーザ装置であって、制御部が、第1波長可変レーザ素子を発振させてレーザ光を外部に出力させながら該レーザ光の周波数を第1周波数まで連続的に掃引させ、掃引の間に、第2波長可変レーザ素子のレーザ発振周波数を第1周波数に設定してレーザ発振させるとともに、レーザ光の外部への出力を遮断して待機状態とし、第1波長可変レーザ素子のレーザ光の周波数が第1周波数に略一致したと判定した場合、第1波長可変レーザ素子のレーザ光の外部への出力を遮断するとともに、第2波長可変レーザ素子の待機状態を解除して、第2波長可変レーザ素子のレーザ光を外部に出力させる、ステップを少なくとも一回行う。【選択図】図1 |
