Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve tracking photographing of all directions on the celestial sphere with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a mechanism part for translating and rotating an imaging element relative to a subject image formed on an image surface; a movement locus calculation part for calculating a movement locus of a fixed star by diurnal motion; and a control part for controlling translation and rotation by the mechanism part based on the movement locus. The movement locus calculation part includes: a calculation part for calculating attitude information on the fixed star on the equator coordinates on the optical axes of the imaging apparatus; a conversion part for converting the attitude information on the fixed star on the equator coordinates to attitude information on the fixed star on the horizon coordinates by using a conversion parameter for converting the equator coordinates to the horizon coordinates; a conversion part for converting the attitude information on the fixed star on the horizon coordinates to attitude information on the fixed star on the imaging apparatus coordinates by using a conversion parameter for converting the horizon coordinates to the imaging apparatus coordinates; and a conversion part for converting the attitude information on the fixed star on the imaging apparatus coordinates to imaging and projecting position information on the image surface by using a projecting conversion parameter of an optical system of the imaging apparatus. 【課題】全天球方向を高精度に追尾撮影可能にする。【解決手段】撮像装置は、撮像面に結像される被写体像に対して撮像素子を相対的に並進及び回転させる機構部と、日周運動による恒星の移動軌跡を算出する移動軌跡算出部と、その移動軌跡に基づいて、機構部による並進及び回転を制御する制御部とを備える。移動軌跡算出部は、撮像装置の光軸上の赤道座標上の恒星姿勢情報を算出する算出部と、赤道座標を地平座標に変換するための変換パラメータを用いて、赤道座標上の恒星姿勢情報を地平座標上の恒星姿勢情報に変換する変換部と、地平座標を撮像装置座標に変換するための変換パラメータを用いて、地平座標上の恒星姿勢情報を撮像装置座標上の恒星姿勢情報に変換する変換部と、撮像装置の光学系の投影変換パラメータを用いて、撮像装置座標上の恒星姿勢情報を撮像面上での撮像投影位置情報に変換する変換部とを含む。【選択図】図1
