Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive vehicular drive control device and a control method for a vehicular drive device.SOLUTION: When a clutch device installed between an engine and an electric motor is operated from a disengaging state to an engaging state, effective clutch stroke amount La of the clutch device is detected based on transmission torque Tc of the clutch device obtained by subtracting a product of a motor rotational frequency change rate Ne and an engine inertia I from an engine torque estimation value Te. A solenoid is included in a control valve for supplying working fluid for engaging the clutch device, and actual clutch stroke amount Lt of the clutch device is calculated from a solenoid current i. A hybrid ECU calculates clutch wear amount Lw of a clutch disk by subtracting the effective clutch stroke amount La from the actual clutch stroke amount Lt, and controls operation of the clutch device on the basis of the clutch wear amount Lw.
