| Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion layer capable of achieving both dry-out resistance and flooding resistance.SOLUTION: An electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly includes: a polymer electrolyte membrane; a cathode gas diffusion layer including a cathode catalyst layer, a cathode microporous layer and a cathode gas diffusion layer base material, which are disposed in order on one side of the polymer electrolyte membrane; an anode gas diffusion layer including an anode catalyst layer, an anode microporous layer and an anode gas diffusion layer base material, which are disposed in order on the other side of the polymer electrolyte membrane. A relative gas diffusion coefficient of the anode microporous layer is smaller than that of the cathode microporous layer by 0.05 [-] or more. |
