| Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear of a pinion gear and a ring gear while restraining noise at engagement of the pinion gear and the ring gear.SOLUTION: The apparatus for automatic stop control and restart control includes a ring gear (12), a pinion gear (24), pinion gear moving means (21, 22), and an engine control part (50). The engine control part starts energization to the pinion gear moving means when the engine speed becomes smaller than a rotational frequency enabling engagement during engine inertia rotation as a result of satisfaction of an automatic stop condition. After start of the energization, in the case the engine speed change amount exceeds a predetermined rise detection threshold value before passage of time necessary for contact of the pinion gear to the ring gear, energization to the pinion gear moving means is stopped temporarily. In the case the engine speed change amount exceeds a predetermined decline detection threshold value after the temporary stop of the energization, energization to the pinion gear moving means is restarted. |
