PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shared memory system that reduces processing time and power consumption.SOLUTION: The shared memory system defines clusters for video attribute as cluster memories 1 and 2 with respect to an access monitoring mechanism 112. When a DSP (2) 104 adds attribute information of an image to access the memory, the access monitoring mechanism 112 outputs, to a cluster memory space selection apparatus 119, control information 131 that permits access to the cluster memories 1 and 2. The cluster memory space selection apparatus 119 distributes accesses from the DSP (2) 104 to the cluster memory 1 or 2, according to the control information 131. The accesses from a GPU 105 are distributed in the same way. The shared memory 110 divided into a plurality of clusters 111 is shared by a plurality of masters to maintain coherency of a cache memory.
