Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-supply method that expands the application range of a hybrid power supply consisting of a battery and a super capacitor using the nonpolar property of the super capacitor having symmetry property, and a power-supply device using the power-supply method. SOLUTION: The power-supply device of this invention is made up of at least a power supply, at least a capacitor connected in series to the power supply, and at least a changeover mechanism that can change over pole connection between the power supply and the capacitor in reciprocating motion and that is connected between the power supply and the capacitor. This is the device for improving the energy use efficiency of the battery by changing the pole connection with a reciprocating motion switch, using the advantage of the nonpolar property of the electrodes of the super capacitor used as the capacitor.
