Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-phase rectifying circuit where a power factor can be improved with at low cost and harmonic current can be reduced. SOLUTION: The circuit is provided with three single-phase rectifiers 4A, 4B and 4C, arranged between lines of three phases and three power factor improvement circuits 2A to 2F and 3A to 3C arranged between the lines of the three phases. The output parts of a P-side and an N-side of the single phase rectifier are connected to the output parts of the P-side and the N-side of the other single-phase rectifier. A capacitor 5 is connected between the output parts of the P-side and the N-side of the single-phase rectifier. The power factor improvement circuits control the interline current so that phase currents IR, IS and IT whose phases are in-phase with the phase voltages VR, VS and VT are generated as a sum of two interline currents IRS, IRT, ISR, IST, ITR and ITS.
