It has been discovered that γδ-T-extracellular vesicles (EV) have immune adjuvant effects that promote DCs maturation, mediated by the IFN-γ associated with the γδ-T-EVs. Cell-free compositions including extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from γδ-T cells (γδ-T-EVs) and methods of use thereof are provided. The γδ-T-EVs can associated with or encapsulate tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) or peptide pools to form a γδ-T-EV vaccine composition. γδ-T-EVs compositions can be used as adjuvants in cancer immunotherapy or the γδ-T-EV vaccine compositions are to induce tumor-specific T-cell responses and direct killing of tumor cells in subjects in need thereof. |
