A method of vaccinating a subject against respiratory viral infection comprising administering to a subject in need thereof either simultaneously or separately one or more polynucleotide vectors encoding respiratory viral antigens and one or more aerosolized respiratory viral antigens, to induce a mucosal immune response in the subject against respiratory viral infection.
