Implementations of the subject technology provide systems and methods for recording an augmented reality experience in a manner that allows playback of the experience from different viewpoints or angles at a later time. This allows computer generated content rendered to display to a user during the recording to be rerendered during playback at the correct time and location in the recording but from different angles.
