| Summary: | A moving subject is imaged by a first imaging unit 21r that uses a rolling shutter method in which lines are exposed at different times and a second imaging unit 21g that uses a global shutter method in which lines are exposed at the same time. A distortion calculation unit 33 uses a second captured image obtained by the second imaging unit 21g to identify image distortion of the subject in a first captured image obtained by the first imaging unit 21r. A movement speed detection unit 35 detects the movement speed of the subject at each line on the basis of the angles of view of the captured images, the distortion amount of image distortion identified by the distortion calculation unit 33, and a distance to the subject measured by a distance measurement unit 34. This makes it possible to detect the movement speed of the subject quickly and at a high frequency.
