| Summary: | The invention provides application of a verticillium dahliae acetolactate synthase (AHAS) catalytic subunit gene VdILV2A, and belongs to the technical field of functional genes. According to the invention, a knockout mutant delta VdILV2A and a complementary mutant are taken as experimental subjects, and the effect of the VdILV2A is analyzed from the aspects of pathogenicity, branched chain amino acid biosynthesis and the like. A result shows that the pathogenicity of the delta VdILV2A is obviously reduced; vascular bundle browning is obviously weakened; the penetrability on glass paper is delayed; and the colonization in roots and stems is hindered. The VdILV2A is also an essential gene for synthesis of branched chain amino acid, and the VdILV2A participates in synthesis of leucin. AHAS is an action target of a herbicide, and the VdILV2A can be applied to prevention and control of cotton verticillium wilt. Therefore, the gene has important theoretical value for prevention and control of verticillium dahliae a |
