Summary: | The invention discloses a train positioning method based on ultrasonic detection. The train positioning method comprises the steps that altimeters are installed at the set positions of the set number of trains respectively; the altimeters monitor defect characteristics of the sleeper in the train running process at set time intervals, and defect characteristic data of the altimeters are obtained; through a waveform comparison algorithm, according to the set accuracy, the defect characteristic data are compared with pre-measured data in a database to obtain position data corresponding to each altimeter; the position data are compared, and when a value with the same number of times as the position data exists, the value is used as the actual position of the train; and the previous step is repeated until the value of the position data with the maximum number of the same times is obtained when the value of the position data with the maximum number of the same times does not exist.
