The invention discloses a selenium-rich watermelon planting management method. The method comprises the following steps: sandy soil is selected, ditching, fertilizing, then returning soil, fixed planting is carried out according to a line spacing and row spacing, then fertilization and irrigation are timely carried out according to different growth periods of watermelons, and artificial pollination is carried out on the watermelons in a flowering period. A fertilizer used in the selenium-rich watermelon planting management method disclosed by the invention is a mixed fertilizer of a special fertilizer for selenium-rich watermelons and a base fertilizer. The invention further provides a preparation method of the special fertilizer for the selenium-rich watermelons. The preparation method comprises the steps of primary anaerobic fermentation, primary aerobic fermentation, drying, granulation and the like.
