The present invention discloses a beef cattle feed and a preparation method thereof. The beef cattle feed is prepared from the following raw materials, by weight: 70 to 80 parts of corn, 15 to 25 parts of straw, 5 to 10 parts of rapeseed meal, 5 to 8 parts of barley, 5 to 10 parts of tofu residue, 5 to 10 parts of orange peel, 7 to 10 parts of pumpkin, 5 to 8 parts of campanula medium, 3 to 5 parts of wild dendranthema flower, 0.5 to 1 part of pilose asiabell root, 0.5 to 1 part of licorice root, 3 to 5 parts of fish meal, 1 to 3 parts of salted duck egg yolk and 0.5 to 1 part of salt. The beef cattle feed has characteristics of reasonable ratio, good palatability, cost saving and complete nutrition.
