The invention provides a load unbalance compensation current limiter, belonging to the power quality analysis and control technology field. The load unbalance compensation current limiter comprises a short circuit current limitation reactor, a three-phase transverter, a system power supply, an unbalanced load and a high pass filter. The short circuit current limitation reactor is in series connection between the system power supply and the unbalanced load. The three-phase transverter are in parallel connection through the high pass filter and the unbalanced load. When a system is in normal operation, the three-phase transverter and the unbalanced load are in parallel operation, unbalance current compensation of a load side is enforced, simultaneously, the three-phase transverter injects a corresponding reactive power at the load side according to a control instruction, and voltage drop generated by the short circuit current limitation reactor which is in series connection to a line is compensated.
