Summary:In the article are considered cultural and recreational activities as a leading factor in the professional development of students and the formation of their professional potential. The results of a sociological survey aimed at identifying the problems of the adaptation of young specialists to the practical activity of a social worker and actualizing the application ofvarious forms, types and technologies for the formation ofprofessional development of students through cultural and leisure activities are shown. The principles of the construction of a pedagogically-expedient process of organizing cultural and leisure activities in the university, the forms of leisure activities and the necessary conditions for out-of-class work are determined.
