This paper summarized the nursing experience of a patient with ankylosing spondylitis complicated with severe kyphotic deformity and orthopaedic surgery in 3 stages, focusing on the management of respiratory system, intraoperative bleeding, blood perfusion, position change and high risk of stress injury. The main nursing points are as follows: Participating in multidisciplinary discussion before surgery, determining the surgical plan and alternative plan, evaluating the patient's surgical preparation state and pulmonary function, communication with the clinic to improve the allocation of intraoperative supplies and conducting posture simulation; During the operation, the traveling nurses closely monitored the changes of the patients' vital signs, peripheral blood transport, vital organ perfusion, enhanced the intraoperative body temperature protection and prevention of pressure injuries.
