Summary: | Objective To evaluate the quality control circle (QCC) activities in reducing the incidence of aspiration in patients with dysphagia after stroke. Methods A QCC group was set up, and a series of activities based on QCC theory were carried out including theme identification, plan making, status investigation, factor analysis, countermeasures and implementation. An analysis of aspiration condition in 80 patients with dysphagia after stroke was carried out after implementation of QCC activities (between April and October 2019), and the incidence of aspiration was compared with that of 80 patients recruited before implementation of QCC activities (between February and June 2017). Results The incidence of aspiration decreased from 25. 00%(20/80)to 5. 00%(4/80), with a target achievement ratio of113. 64 and progress ratio of 80. 00%. Nurses' comprehensive ability was enhanced after implementation of QCC activities. Conclusion The QCC is effective to reduce the incidence of aspiration in patients with dysphagia afte |
