Summary:Objective To investigate the current status of uncertainty in illness state among brucellosis patients in Urumqi, Xinjiang, and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A convenience sampling method was used to select 180 brucellosis patients from a Grade-A hospital in Urumqi, Xinjiang, who visited between May 2024 and December 2024. General data, the Illness Uncertainty Scale (DCS), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and the SF-36 Health Survey were used to collect data. Multivariate linear regression analysis was applied to analyze the influencing factors of illness uncertainty in brucellosis patients. Results Among the 180 patients, 117 were male, and 63 were female, with an average age of (40. 44 ± 9. 99) years. The total score of illness uncertainty was (74. 66 ± 11. 03), with the ambiguity dimension scoring (43. 75 ± 6. 90) and the complexity dimension scoring (30. 91 ± 5. 14). Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that age, education level, whether it was the first treatment, qu
