Bibliography: | Objective To report the clinical effect of traditional acupuncture in the treatment and symptom management of painful ophthalmoplegia due to Tolosa-Hunt syndrome. Methods A single case of a 62-year-old female with painful ophthalmoplegia due to Tolosa-Hunt syndrome was observed. Acupuncture was administered alone in the patient's treatment plan and without glucocorticoid during treatment period. Results After 10 treatments over the course of 2 weeks, the patient had a significant clinical effect, positive outcomes in the patient's vitality and quality of life.
