Summary:Moving Target Indication (MTI) technology is an effective means for radar to detect moving targets in clutter environment. In this paper, an adaptive MTI filter is designed based on the linear prediction method and the estimation of clutter spectrum center and spectrum width. By estimating the clutter spectrum center and spectrum width of radar echo signal, the suitable filter weight coefficient is obtained by combining the linear prediction method, and the effect of filtering clutter is achieved. The algorithm complexity of this method is low and the filtering effect is good. In this paper, the centroid method is used to estimate the clutter spectrum center and the integral method is used to estimate the clutter spectrum width. At the same time, the optimized filtering method is linear prediction method with less computation, which can set the notch of the band-stop filter in the center of the clutter spectrum, so that the clutter can be suppressed to the maximum extent. Simulation results show that the proposed method has a good suppression effect on time-varying motion clutter.
