Summary:This paper addresses the problem of stresses and displacements, as well as general and mechanical properties, of the parts of a tooth and it's surrounding due to loading with force of 5N magnitude. The finite element method has proved successful in the analyses offerees and stresses in biological systems. Analyses simulate the impact of orthodontic brace. Therefore, the analyses are performed with the finite element method using tetrahedron finite elements. Function of the teeth and position in the mouth, as well as teeth classification and structure, are specified. This research is concerned with the analysis of an upper canine. The tooth is modelled with its basic parts: enamel, dentin, periodontal ligament and bone. The bone is comprised of two parts: cortical bone, the compact outer part of osseous tissue, and cancellous bone; the spongy, inner part.
