숏폼 플랫폼 기반 디지털 밈의 생성 구조 연구 - 틱톡의 챌린지 밈을 중심으로

숏폼 플랫폼 기반의 동영상 콘텐츠가 사용자 생성 콘텐츠의 패러다임을 변화시키고 있다. 숏폼은 원본 콘텐츠를 모방, 복제, 변이하는 과정을 거치면서 디지털 밈으로 규정되고, 다시 사용자 참여와 창작을 통해서 해당 콘텐츠를 문화적 텍스트로 생성, 반복, 확장하게 된다. 본 연구는 디지털 밈으로서의 숏폼 중에서도 특히 포스트 미디어 시대 디지털 밈의 특징이 잘 드러나는 챌린지 밈을 연구 대상으로 설정해, 숏폼 플랫폼 기반 디지털 밈의 생성 원리, 생성 과정, 문화적 함의를 분석했다. 그 결과 디지털 밈은 역동적 텍스트성과 자기생산 체계로서의 해시태그를 기반으로 생성됐다. 이러한 생성 과정을 통해서 단순히 하위 모방의 수준을 넘어서서, 사용자 중심의 다양한 문화적 놀이이자 메시지 전달의 매개체로서의 가능성을 갖게 됐다. 최종적으로 디지털 밈은 특정 코드를 매개로 사용자들이 적극적으로 상호작용하고 창조적인 놀이 문화를 조성하면서 사회적 연결성을 강화하는 역할을 수행했다. Video content based on a short-form platform is changing the paradigm of user-generated content. The short-form is defined as a digital meme through the process of imitating, copying, and changing the original content, and the content is again created, repeated, and expanded into cultural text through user participation and creation. Among the short-form as digital meme, this study set up challenge meme that reveal the characteristics of digital memes in the post-media era, and analyzed the generation principle, generation process, and cultural implications of digital memes based on short-form platform. As a result, digital memes were created based on dynamic textuality and hashtags as a self-production system. Through this generation process, it has the potential as a medium for message delivery and a variety of user-centered cultural plays beyond just the level of sub-imitation. Finally, digital memes played a role in strengthening social connectivity while actively interacting with users through specific codes and creating a creative play culture. KCI Citation Count: 0
