남자 간호대학생이 인식하는 간호교육 프로그램의 남성친화도, 성역할 고정관념, 전공만족도의 관계

이 연구의 목적은 남자 간호대학생이 인식하는 간호교육 프로그램의 남성친화도 정도를 알아보고 남학 생의 성역할 고정관념 및 전공만족도와의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 남자 간호대학생 193명을 대상으로 설 문조사를 실시한 결과, 남성친화도, 전공만족도, 성역할 고정관념의 평균점수는 2.94±0.35, 3.72±0.81, 2.58±0.53점이었다. 간호교육 프로그램의 남성친화도는 성역할 고정관념과 음의 상관관계가 있었고, 여 성건강간호학을 모두 이수한 남학생 집단이 그렇지 않은 집단보다 남성친화도를 더 낮게 인식하였다. 간호 교육 프로그램의 남성친화도를 높이기 위한 효과적 전략을 개발할 때 남성 친화적인 여성건강간호학 교과 목 운영과 남학생의 성역할 고정관념을 감소시키기 위한 전략을 함께 고려해야 할 것이다. Background: This study aimed to evaluate the perceived male friendliness in nursing programs and to identify the relationship of this with gender role stereotype and major satisfaction. Methods: A convenience sample of 193 male nursing students was recruited for the cross-sectional survey design. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA with the SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: The mean scores of male friendliness, major satisfaction, and gender role stereotype were 2.94±0.35, 3.72±0.81, and 2.58±0.53, respectively. Perceived male friendliness in nursing programs was found to be correlated with gender role stereotype (r=−.215, p＜.001). Participants who completed maternal nursing courses showed lower male friendliness (t=−4.53, p＜.001). Conclusions: Improving the male friendliness of maternal nursing courses and flexible gender role stereotyping should be considered when developing effective strategies to improve male friendliness in nursing programs.
