Summary:The 3D printing market is growing rapidly as it enters the 4th industry; metal 3D printing, in particular, is showing remarkable growth. However, the market for metal 3D printing has become monopolistic due to its prevalence in developed countries. The cause of this is the expensive equipment and metal powder material it requires; as such, it is difficult to popularize metal 3D printers. In light of this, we have studied direct melting extrusion (DME) metal 3D printing technology using induction heating to solve this problem. DME metal 3D printing does not use expensive equipment and powder form materials. If these technologies are researched and developed, they can potentially lead the metal 3D printing market.
