MAS SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF Sr3V2O8 NANOPARTICLES

Sr3V2O8 nanoparticles were synthesised using a MAS (microwave-assisted solvothermal) route followed by further heat treatment. Well-crystallised Sr3V2O8 nanoparticles were formed after heat treatment at 600 C for 3 h with a fine and homogeneous morphology and particle sizes of 100-150 nm. The synthe...

Summary:Sr3V2O8 nanoparticles were synthesised using a MAS (microwave-assisted solvothermal) route followed by further heat treatment. Well-crystallised Sr3V2O8 nanoparticles were formed after heat treatment at 600 C for 3 h with a fine and homogeneous morphology and particle sizes of 100-150 nm. The synthesised Sr3V2O8 nanoparticles were characterised by XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX and TEM. The optical properties were investigated by photoluminescence emission and Raman spectroscopy.
