Theory: Cord of Points] I picked up and selected important matters and useful things for them from cord of points regarding coaching. Then I explained the direction of gymnastics, structure of score, and the way of planning routines. [Reason 1] I had been in Sri Lanka for a year and Philippines for 2 and a half years. At first I was surprised that they didn't know about rules. They participate in competitions, and organize competitions but they didn't know about rules. I wanted them to know the basic knowledge of gymnastics. They must know that legs apart or bent knees cause deductions and how to select elements to make routines for gymnasts. We have to make routine based on a plan for gymnasts' future. And elements should be step by step, no need to be high level from the beginning. Need to prevent gymnasts from unnecessary injuries. |
