It would be suggested that she is going to school independently often a short term training in an actual situation. 漢字による「バスの行き先表示」に関する読字行動が獲得されていないために,通学の自立ができていない精神遅滞児に対し,変動遅延聴覚-視覚見本合わせ法を用いて,それらに関する読字行動を獲得させることを企図して指導を行った。第1ベースライソ期間ではこれらの読字行動はまったく獲得されていなかったが,第2ベースライソ期間では100%の正反応生起率を示した。この読字行動の獲得は,般化テストおよびポストチェックによっても立証された。すなわち,本被験者者が通学の自立をするための阻害要因を,除去することができた。
