咳嗽を原因とした状況失神の犬の1例

An approximately 11-year-old neutered female Shih Tzu was admitted to the hospital with the primary complaint of collapse after coughing. Holter electrocardiography was performed, which confirmed sinus arrest coinciding with the episode of coughing. In addition, as the owner was filming a video of the dog's state at the time of the episode, the series of events could be observed, which facilitated the diagnosis of the present case as “situational syncope caused by cough”. シーズー，雌（避妊済み），推定11歳が，咳嗽後に倒れる（発作）ことを主訴に来院した。ホルター心電図検査を実施したところ，咳嗽のエピソードに一致した洞停止が確認された。また，その際の犬の様子を飼い主が動画撮影を行っていた。それにより，一連の様子が観察できたことから，本症例を「咳嗽を原因とした状況失神」と診断した。
