Abstract We investigated the clinical efficacy and safety of cefozopran, a new cephem antibiotic, in 6 patients with respiratory tract infections: pneumonia in 2, pulmonary abscess in 1, secondary infection of old pulmonary tuberculosis in 1, infection of bronchiectasis in 1 and diffuse panbronchiolitis in 1. Clinical efficacy was good in 3, fair in 1, poor in 1 and unknown in 1. No side effects were observed. In one case, elevation of GOT was observed.

In one case, elevation of GOT was observed. 新しいセフェム系注射薬cefozopranを呼吸器感染症患者6例に使用し, その臨床効果および安全性について検討した。疾患の内訳は, 肺炎2例, 肺膿瘍, 肺結核後遺症の二次感染, 気管支拡張症の感染, びまん性汎細気管支炎各1例である。臨床効果は, 有効3例, やや有効1例, 無効1例, 判定不能1例であった。副作用はなく, 本剤投与に関連していると思われる臨床検査値異常は, 1例にGOT上昇を認めた。
