Summary:A trial was made to evaluate skin safety of Atorrege® cosmetic series, which were intended to be hypoirritant and hypoallergic. We conducted a 48hrs closed patch testing with 7 materials (Atorrege® face wash, skin treatment, face moist, barrier veil, cool lotion, hair shampoo, hair rinse) on 55 patients with skin disease . The subjects were composed of 22 cases of atopic dermatitis, 31 cases of contact dermatitis and 2 cases of rosacea-like dermatitis. The skin irritation index of the whole materials ranged from 0 to 9.1, and the highest was 9.1 of hair shampoo. All of them were judged to be a safety product. In atopic dermatitis group (22 patients), the skin irritation index of the whole materials was less than 5. Thus Atorrege® cosmetic series were concluded to be hypoirritant products.
