Summary: | In 3D optical imaging of a living body with near-infrared light, image deterioration caused by scattering effect is a fundamental and serious problem. To solve this problem, we have newly developed a technique to reconstruct a CT image from tranillumination images with scattering suppression. In an experiment, the effectiveness of the developed technique was verified. The cause of the reconstruction error was found to be not from the technique itself but from the artefact of the experiment. Figure 1 shows the cross sectional images of 10 mm∅ perfect absorber in a scattering medium (μ's =1.0 /mm). The size and the position of the absorber were restored correctly using the proposed technique. |
