Summary:To suppress the scattering of light in a transillumination image, a new imaging technique using time-reverse technique with phase conjugate light has been reported. We have proposed the possibility of biological transillumination imaging using digital phase conjugate light generated with a spatial light modulator. In experiment, we attempted to restore the incident light image from the light passed through a scattering layer. Figure 1 shows the image of the incident light (a) and the observed image (b) through the scattering layer. The feasibility to generate appropriate phase conjugate light was verified as shown in Fig. 1(c).
