PURIFICATION OF T LYMPHOCYTES FROM HUMAN PERIPHERAL BLOOD BY THE ADSORBENT WITH POLYSACCHARIDE-LIGAND

It was found that the adsorbent containing a polysaccharide had a selectivity for B lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes. Summary:It was found that the adsorbent containing a polysaccharide had a selectivity for B lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes. Especially, the adsorbent with pectin (EC-PEC) represented the excellent property for purifying of T lymphocytes. Therefore, pectin as an affinity ligand was available for direct enrichment of T lymphocytes from human peripheral blood. It seemed that selectivity of EC-PEC to white blood cells was based on characteristics of the carboxyl groups and the flexibility of polysaccharide chain.
