FGS患者の尿中TGF-betaは,健常人と比較して有意に(p<0.05)高値であった.またSLE患者では健常人に比べて高値である傾向を示し,逆にMN患者では低値を示す傾向があった.一方, IgAN患者は健常人と差がみられなかった.このことからTGF-betaがヒトの腎炎においても,糸球体内の細胞増殖に対しては抑制的に働き,糸球体内のECM代謝に対しては蓄積を促進するように働いている可能性が示唆された.
