Summary:Long Term Evolution (LTE) describes the standardization work by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) to define a new high-speed radio access method for mobile communications systems. Rate Matching (RM) is an essential component in the adaptive coding rate system and has a great impact on the error correcting performance in turbo code system for 3GPP LTE. In this paper, we propose an efficient RM algorithm based on the circular buffer and interlaced puncturing applying to the 3GPP LTE system. More specifically, both system-parity cross output model of turbo code and puncturing parity bits preferentially pattern in the bit collection and puncturing process are introduced to obtain more stable performance in this RM algorithm. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the bit error ratio (BER) performance, especially at high code rate conditions, compared with traditional algorithm in LTE turbo code.
