Summary:In this paper, by investigating the methods of selecting Mongolian stop words based on statistical methods in Mongolian information retrieval, an improved method is proposed. The main idea of this method is to obtain Mongolian stop words through algorithms have been used, and then remove the noun or verb as the main component in the sentences and Mongolian homonyms from the stop words. The experiments show that using this method select stop words and the existing methods select the stop words for Mongolian document retrieval, this method can improve the retrieval results.
