Summary:Forward-looking SAR is a system that is imaging for the frontal targets of the flight path. The forward looking SAR designed by DLR employs linear antenna array. The imaging resolution is limited by the short synthetic aperture which results from the short antenna. This paper presents a F-SAR imaging algorithm based on compressive sensing, which achieves higher imaging resolution in the same case with the system of DLR. This algorithm constructs the filter functions in the time domain which are independent of the target number and Doppler frequency. The effectiveness of the scheme is revealed through simulation results.
