Summary:Time delay estimation is a fundamental subject in the field of source localization. Although many accurate approaches were proposed to estimate time delay, only some of them are implementable. We propose two approaches based on average square difference to estimate time delay in adverse conditions. In this way we estimate time delay between two sensors signals. In these approaches a bufferable matrix is constructed that could be used in many source localization issues. Using this matrix we provide a feasible hardware structure with low order of computation for implementation of the proposed approaches on digital signal processors based embedded systems.
