Summary:Efficient traffic signal control is crucial for managing urban traffic flow and alleviating congestion. This paper presents a comprehensive performance evaluation of various traffic signal control methods in Algiers City, Algeria. The study utilizes RESCO benchmark algorithms, recognized for their effectiveness in traffic management. Real-world data from Algiers City is collected and analyzed to evaluate the performance of these methods. The findings demonstrate that the Independent Deep Q-Network (IDQN) algorithm outperforms MPLight. These results highlight the potential of IDQN for enhancing traffic flow and congestion mitigation in Algiers City.
