Summary:The quality of functioning optical telecommunication systems using distributed fiber-optic communication lines and fiber-optic transmission lines, fiber-optic cables, receiving and transmitting optical modules is analyzed. Based on the study, a method is proposed for calculating the indicators optical telecommunication networks based on PON (Passive Optical Network), WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and DWDM (Dense WDM) technologies, taking into account the indicators of the efficiency and noise immunity optical communication networks. Analytical expressions are obtained that make it possible to evaluate the main characteristics of the throughput fiber-optic communication lines using optical network technologies in the provision multimedia services.
